Community skins: from submission to the collection

A skin made in the Skin Studio does not go straight into the game. It goes through a person, then through the community. This is the whole route.

Review

A person reviews every skin. Rough is fine; rude is not. A refusal always comes with a sentence saying why. Being approved does not publish anything: you decide when to show it to the community, with the button on your skins.

The vote

Anyone signed in can like a skin, with a few rules that keep the number honest:

  • a verified email address;
  • at least one battle played;
  • one like per account, and never on your own skin.

At 100 likes the skin joins the collection by itself; the bar on each skin shows how far it is. We may discard likes from accounts made to inflate a count.

In the collection

The author gets the skin and, if it has a price, a share of each sale (see truffles). A skin in the collection can no longer be withdrawn by its author, because other players own it.

Reporting

If a skin should not be there, report it: the Report button is in the gallery, on each skin's page and in the in-game shop. A report costs nothing and proves nothing, so one report does nothing; when several different accounts report the same skin, it is hidden from everyone but its author until we have looked. Then we either put it back, exactly where it was, or remove it and tell the author why.

Removal

If a skin has to be removed after it reached the game, it stops showing in battles. If you think a skin uses something that belongs to you, write to support@pigwars.app with its link. The full wording is in the terms, and the short version of what gets through is on the creators page.
